Not everything is mandatory, but the more you do the better your house will appeal to potential buyers!
Put yourself in a buyers perspective.
When you first pull up to the house, you are judging it.
We had a client with the most beautiful house, but the landscaping wasn’t complete yet.
Just a bunch of dirt!
No acceptable offers that first TWO WEEKS!
Landscaping gets complete and what happens when the updated pictures come out?
We had more showings than we had time.
Several offers later, we got an over asking price for the house.
Closed 3 weeks later.
If a buyer walks into the kitchen and there is grease all over the stove and oven, food in the sink, messy pantry, etc.
Most don’t see it as a big deal.
But buyers do not want to see any negatives on a house they want to buy.
Even if it’s something simple, when they think about the property, they associate it with negatives.
The less negatives your house has, the better chance you have at getting a better offer!
Which means more money in your pocket after your home sale!
So clean up and organize a bit. Take a wet rag and go around the baseboards, dust off your ceiling fan, organize the garage so they can move around (I’m guilty of the worlds messiest garage), clean up the yard.
Make your house as visually appealing as possible so your new buyers have no negatives in their head!
